Hi,
I have had a 2000 for several years, and it's easy to add weight. All you need is a piece of tubing to slide into the holes designed to do so in the slider board, and some plates. Total gym has this as an accessory I think, but it can be home-made easily. You can add weights up to 300 pounds total including your own weight. So, if you weigh 150 you can add 150 to the board. I dare anyone other than an accomplished bodybuilder to use that much weight on any exercise but squats!
The neat thing is that you can easily transition from one exercise to the next, doing circuit training is actually fun!
For some people, the gym is too easy, because they might be light weight, but very strong so even the highest incline gives little resistance.
If you are considering a used unit, shy away from the older ones that don't have the 'wing' attachment. The footholder for doing leg pulls is near worthless.
Regards,
Rex
