I wouldn't like to say that breathing is not going to be best for repairing damage to your heart, but at the same time, breathing and the associated yoga relaxation is only a part of the recovery process.

There's no doubt that relaxing is going to lower blood pressure, and reducing stress is going to help reduce buildup of plaques on the arteries, so yes, it will go a long way to help, but only as a part of an overall multifaceted plan to promote heart health. For example, if you do yoga type breathing exercise and continue living a stressful lifestyle and eating poorly and getting little physical exercise, you'll have achieved very little benefit.

Hii There !!!
I am 100% agreed with you.Actually what i meant here you have compliete here in the proper sentence. But pranayam (Anulom, Vilom, Kapalbhati and Bhramahari pranayam ) helps to make strong our lungs for purifying the blood also. But it is correct that life style should be like that (Yam, Niyam,Pranyam)

It is also worth noting that the kind of exercise that you are suggesting doesn't usually fit in well with a Western lifestyle in general ... but it is a good idea to add this kind of stress reduction and breathing exercise to a cardiac rehabilitation regimen.

Note that cleansing / purifying of the blood does NOT take place in the lungs. What most North Americans do not do is breathe deeply to fully oxygenate their blood which is otherwise good for their body. (It was interesting that in spite of my own heart issues, it was noted several times that my blood oxygenation was remarkably high. It probably assisted me in recovery from surgery!)
