My doctor started me on Plavix about 6 months ago (75mlg) per day.
Could this cause ED? Also I am taking Toprol XL, Aspirin, Glucotrol
XL. Thank You

Dr Chung, Thank you for the kind reply. I have been taking the Toprol
Xl along with the Plavix for a period of 6 months. I addition I recently got back from a long trip where I drove my Rv about 2000 miles to see a sick sister( that is actually when the ED was evident, that same night when I got back home), in addition I have been taking
Fish Oil Supplements for about a month now. Could either of these be a factor ? Thank again, Danny

I am again very thankul for your quick, unbiased, unselffish reply. I wonder what a great world it would be if people helped others only because they were fellow human beings! After careful consideration I am writing it off to the long trip and the stress and anxiety associated with it. I am hopeful that given a quiet period of relaxation things will return to normal..

I will be watching the thread for other comments in particular as concerning the Plavix as I do not want to stop it, overall I have been doing much better.

I have 3 totally blocked arteries (one a former stent) and the only one supplying blood is the left marrary graft from 1985. I was told after a cath in April this year I would be better off taking drugs and not doing further surgery till it ws an "emergency. I have thought about getting a second opinion must am not sure at this point.

I am very grateful, God Bless You...

I've been on Plavix for a year and on Toprol XL for 6 months. I've noticed that my erections are stronger than before.

Erectile Dysfunction (inability to sustain erection) is a very common disorder which most men face in there life at some stage for one reason or the other like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, fatigue, stress, physical injuries, smoking and alcohol consumption. The exact reason can only be judged by a specialist and only then one should use the medicines prescribed. You can have the information on ED and ED related drugs on http://www.levitrabliss.com .
Levitra helps in treating impotency and ED disorders in men suffering from risky medical conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. This is the reason why this medicine is being preferred over other impotency medicines. But this medicine should only be used in accordance with the instructions of the physician.
So its better that you consult your physician or an urologist and have the medication prescribed. Best luck.

mike1in, welcome to the forum I am happy you joined us.

It's good you added that all medicines should only be used according to the physician's prescription

I take it you have experience in taking this medicine? How did it work for you and was it your physician that prescribed them to you or was it you asking him if he could prescribe this medicine to you?
