I'm 19, and have been on a diet since Jan 1st, lost nearly a stone.

14 stone / 196 pounds / 88.90 kilograms

13 stone / 182 pounds / 82.55 kilograms

Does anyone know the 'ideal' weight of someone about 1'' to 2'' from 6ft tall?

Thanks all.

Excellent group, really helpful

No, no one can answer that question honestly from the information you gave. If they DO tell you then they are a fool and ignore them.

A good body fat percentage for a man your age is around 15%. Typically a young man like you might want to be leaner so your six-pack shows, that's more like 8% IIRC.

Stop thinking about WEIGHT and start thinking about fat and muscle mass.

If you have to have a *number*, then for 5'10", idea weights (for males)
for small, medium and large frame are 168, 187, and 206 pounds. For 5'11" (male) 173, 192, 211. If you're female, 144, 160, 176 and 148, 165, 182.
That doesn't take into consideration how muscular you are. The method I know of for judging frame size is to wrap your hand around the other wrist.
If the middle finger can overlap the thumb then you're probably small framed, if you can just touch your thumb with your middle finger then you're probably medium franed, and if they can't touch at all then you're probably large framed. Notice that I did say *probably*. All this is very generic.
You could be small framed but due to some anomaly have huge wrists. But this will give you a very basic guideline if you *have* to have a number.
