Is there a way to get thinner, rather than large and bulky muscles? My calf muscles are much larger and bulkier then the rest of my body and I was looking for a way to thin them down to achieve a more balanced body. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Well, I know that my calf muscle do vary with atrophy or work. I think that if you can figure out how to get your muscles to atrophy then you might have some success. I would try to figure out if you are doing something that makes them big and then stop doing whatever that is.

Six weeks in a leg cast will do wonders for reducing your calf size.

You might try doing high repitition exercises with much less resistance than you normally use.

Unfortunately, you cannot 'train' a muscle to be thinner. Training for tone instead of bulk is a misconception- they are just 2 points on the same continuum. Just do not train your calves so they don't get any larger! I have a long gastroc muscle myself- that tends to give you muscular calves even if you don't want them.
