The following is just some of the official and professional info on nicotine

The problem with saying that nicotine stays in the body for a much longer time gives nicotine too much credit for the hard time you are having giving up smoking.
The biggest problems are with "links to smoking". Anyone who looks at their links and changes their habits for 6 to 8 weeks (the lenght of time that you should use a Nicotine
Replacement Product), will have a much better chance of a successful quit.

If you use a NRT products, you willl still have withdrawl, hopefully at a lesser level but by then, you are into your new habits and your subconsious isn't looking for a cigarette every time you___________(fill in the blank; for me it was answering the phone.)

If you think nicotine stays in your body for 6 weeks and that is why you keep going back to smoking, maybe it is time to look for other reasons.

Hi WEBWIZARD4U2 Welcome to the forum.

Nicotine stays 72 to 96 hours in the body before it leaves completely. The physical and mental reverberations can go on for weeks though, some say even years.
