Is blood pressure 159 over 73 to high? My pulse is 80.

A systolic pressure consistently over 140 is too high ... given how low the diastolic pressure is, it makes me wonder if the reading was accurate. If this was done by a machine at a drug store or by yourself, try instead going to your doctor's office. A nurse can usually do it there, and often they'll do BP screening at no or very nominal charge (less than a doctor's visit!)

Get a few more readings. Try relaxing a few minutes before having the reading done.
