I am a 54 year old woman and I had a heart attack about a month ago. tests after the attack showed that I have no blockage and no damage, which I don't really understand. I was sure that a heart attack would leave permanent damage, and also, If I have no blockage - what caused my attack?
Could anyone help me understand this?

A heart attack is a spasm, not dissimilar to a cramp in any other muscle. It can be caused by insufficient blood, or it can be caused by an electrical malfunction around the heart. This is related to the calcium or beta channels.

No damage usually means "no significant damage" ... in other words, no EKG abnormality was detected and no ejection fraction decrease was noted, and no "murmur" was detected. That's not terribly uncommon. Even though I had 2 significant heart attacks and severe narrowing of my coronary artery, I still suffered very little damage to my heart, to the point that an EKG now looks nearly normal.
