I'm trying to get more fiber into my diet. So far, I've found cereals give me the best bang for the calories. Anyone know of anything else that's comparable and/or better? I'd like some variation in my diet.

My two best foods w/ref to fiber are prunes and chickpeas. Always effective, and taste terrific if you do it right. Like I have this recipe for chickpeas that I call India-style chili, with almost no fat. I like to eat pitted prunes straight out of the bag. Also no fat. Both have lots of nutrients too.

Exactly what I was looking for! Anyone know a source that sells this cheap? It was $20 at safeway for 450g but I think I'm going to go through a lot of this...
