Hello, I'm glad I found this site.

I just wanted to ask something.
Last year I suffer bronchitis and I already cured. Then February of this year I was diagnose with pneumonia. I was having a difficult of breathing that result to asthma. And when I got healed from pneumonia thank God, My doctor notice that heartbeat is very fast. So she given me some medication for a month and then after that came back to check up again if there are improvements. The same thing I could feel that my heart is really not normal cause I also had an asthma. And my doctor wants to had and ECG and cholesterol check to make sure what is wrong with my heart. On ECG found out that I had abnormal heartbeat and my cholesterol is very high. ( I will have my 2D echo by next month) And then this month as I visit again, my heartbeat range again high 130. So my doctor is telling me to had a 2D echo. my question is, what is my diagnoses of my heart. my sugar is good, I don't have swollen legs,. Its really just my heartbeats fast sometimes during night times specially at beds. And sometimes my asthma also trigger.

There are many many things that can cause these problems with your heart so it is absolutely impossible for someone to diagnose a problem online.

You really need to gave the full workup of tests on your heart. The echo will give an indication of how efficient your heart is working and whether that's contributing to your breathing problems.

Ok thank you so much, I guess the 2D echo test would be the best answer for my whole question.

It may be only reveal part of the problems you face! But it is the next step after the EKG.

An EKG (ECG) will show the electrical activity of the heart ... There are typical patterns of activity. An Echo will show the motion of the heart and estimate the efficiency of the heart. There are other tests that will show how the heart behaves when your body is very active called a Stress test. There are tests that check the blood flow through the heart muscle itself. (the heart muscle gets a supply of blood separate from the blood that passes through the pump). There are others as well. It really all depends on what is found on the EKG and echo.
