I had my end of year doctor's appointment and he gave me a clean bill of health.

Blood pressure is normal, blood sugar is in optimal range, cholesterol is good.
Thyroid is stable on the current medication dose, and my PCOS related hormone levels are improved.

And my weight loss total officially is 82 pounds. I also have increased my lean muscle mass quite a bit with resistance exercise. I'm wearing clothes that I haven't been able to fit into in about 4 years.

I can say, that I feel so much better. I don't have the mobility problems I had at my peak weight. I no longer have to rely on a wheelchair, because I can walk around for 30-45 minutes before the pain gets to me and I have to sit and rest my back. My back injury finally seems to be healing. I've got loads more energy, a better mood, and I'm less self-conscious in social situations.

The doctor said whatever I'm doing, keep on doing it, and when I go back at the end of March to get my thyroid and androgen levels tested again, he would like to see me have lost another 10-15 pounds.

Slow and steady has finally shown some significant results.

WOW! Congratulations on your weight loss. That's a lot of weight you have lost. What were you at when you started? What is you weight goal? I too have a bit of a disability to contend with. I spent 5 months in bed while healing from an accident. Another two years trying to learn to walk through the pain in my feet, legs, and knee. Slowly and surely I'm getting better, but I'll never be without pain, and I deal with pain daily almost every step I make. I have a wheelchair the garage and no longer need my walker or cane, so I guess I'm making great progress.

I hope you make your weight goal and continue your progress with your health. Keep in touch.
