Hello everyone! About 2 years ago, I lost 25 pounds exercising and eating healthy. Unfortunately, due to work, school, & family (my excuse)I stopped exercising and went back to my old habits. I gained it all back and feel terrible. Well, I'll be off work next week, and it's my goal to lose weight. My question is: What is the best way to get back to exercising when you haven't done it in a while? Should I just concentrate on doing cardio, or should I include weight training? Your responses will be appreciated.

Hello Nany, welcome to the forum. I hope you will enjoy it here

The best thing to do is first go to your physician to get a special sport check-up to see that everything you venture into in this area is OK. Then, I advise you to approach a personal trainer at any sport school for the beginning so that you'll develop a schedule you can adhere to

Thank you for your advise. I have decided that I'm going to start my new exercise regimen by walking 30 minutes a day. I do own a treadmill, so I think it's time I start using it. I also thought of just going for walks around my neighborhood. I think I'll do this at least for a week, so my body gets more used to being active. Once I'm in better shape, I'll add weights to my routine.

Do any of you know of any good "walking" videos?

You mean perhaps to keep the pace up while walking? I otherwise cannot think of anything that needs explaining about walking worth filming - or perhaps, a certain way of breathing
