I've had three incidences, where twice after cutting grass, with a riding mower, that afterwards my heart rate was around 110-130 bpm and would last for approx. 2 hours before getting below 100 bpm. Last night my wife and I went walking and when I came back my heart rate was up to around 120-130 bpm and again lasting approx 2 hours (may have been less) before getting below 100 bpm. We have been walking the same route for approx. 2 weeks without incident. My resting heart rate generally is around 65-75 bpm (66 bpm right now). However on our walking pathway we passed a couple of yards being mowed. There were no other symptoms, felt fine, just the heart rate was up. The second time it happened I had just finished cutting grass. I went to a doctor's appointment for a sinus infection and my blood pressure was normal, but he noticed the fast heart rate (128bpm) and checks my BP 3 to 4 times, by the nurse, intern doctor, and himself with all normal results. He listens to my heart and he said just keep and eye on it and didn't seemed concerned because my BP was fine and heart sounded good. He knows I have White coat syndrome and my heart rate and BP generally will be elevated a little. This time I didn't feel anxious about the doctor's appointment.
My cholesterol was borderline about 1.5 years ago and he put me a
Zocor 40mg and have been on it ever sense. My doctor said from his latest information on statin drugs, are more beneficial than they first expected, so that's why he prescribed them to me at my borderline situation. I also suffer on occasions with panic attacks and I'm sure you are aware of all those symptoms. Anyway around the same time that I was put on Zocor, but because of my panic attacks and against my doctor's judgment, I asked to have my heart tested. He performed or had performed EKG and electrocardiogram or echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart), I forget the correct title and they all came back normal.
Now for the question.... Because of when these episodes happen I am curious if this could be allergy related? My first thought was maybe because of OTC allergy meds, but I haven't taken anything in about 4-5 days now.
