The best way to find out what Atkins *is*, is to go straight to the source.
The first phase is called 'induction'. If you are looking for a low-carb diet of a different kind, then try alt.support.diet.low-carb as well.

Here is a good place to start if it's really Atkins you're after.

somthing to "fit" around your work schedule. Give me a friggin break. From that schedule you only work 30hrs a week. There's another 138hrs a week to work with.

If you want to know how to eat on atkins - go get the book and read it. Read it from first page to last page before you decide to take on the diet. Then, start the diet while reading the book for a second time and keeping it handy as a reference manual.

Ya know what. You've been in here a few times over the past while and you keep askign the same things over and over and people give you lots of well thought out advice on where you are going wrong and how to fix it. Instead you are out for a quick fix.

You are wasting our time.

Worse, the fat usually brings its little friends with it when it comes back, it's not uncommon to regain some extra pounds on top of the lost ones when a diet fails. Yo-yo diets are a great way to become very overweight (and unhealthy). You start at a given weight, you do a diet (usually a crash diet, with severe restriction, improper protein intake...) that results in as much lean mass loss as fat loss. Then, you stop the diet and gain back all the weight, as fat only. With a nice lowered metabolism as a bonus.
Moreover, any significant weight loss is a stress to the body. If you're going to gain back all the weight you lost, the net result will have made you *less* healthy that you were at the beginning.
